Tennis
Mr Vo’s Primary B1 Tennis team have had a good couple of weeks, defeating Rostrevor in a very close match a fortnight ago and then defeating PAC convincingly over the weekend. Mr Vo has been impressed with the team’s attitude and the way in which the team has conducted itself. Keep up the good work!
Miss Schenk’s B2 Tennis team lost to Pedare College on Friday by a single set but the games were very close throughout. Only one individual game separated the two teams at the conclusion of play. A forfeit in one of the doubles games gave Pedare the win. The week prior the boys lost to St Ignatius 6 sets to 3 but again tried their best.
The Year 4/5 Tennis team has struggled the past two weeks, going down to St Andrew's and Westminster respectively. Akshaj and Brenton have performed well against tough opposition and the entire team continues to do their best each week.
Cricket
The Primary B1 team lost a heartbreaker to Sacred Heart a fortnight ago, going down on the last ball of the day 143 – 142. Sacred Heart scored 9 runs off the final over to steal the win. The boys lost to CBC on the weekend and found the going tough against experienced opposition.
The Year 3/4/5 team lost to Pulteney a fortnight back. Pulteney ran well between wickets and looked determined to score which proved the difference. Last weekend the team rallied and defeated St Michael's for the second time this term. An improved batting and fielding performance put St Michael's under pressure and helped us across the line.
The Kanga Cricket boys have begun their season and faced off against Prospect Primary School on Friday. Some rule changes since Term 1 caused a bit of chaos, but the boys got into the swing of things and enjoyed their first game.
