Supporting children and young people with distressing events

Following the tragic events that took place in Christchurch last Friday, our thoughts are with the people of New Zealand, with the loved ones of those who have died in these attacks and with all those who have been injured.

The impact of this tragedy stretches far beyond New Zealand, and I understand that some members of our school community – particularly our young people – may be looking for guidance and support. For tips for parents and carers on supporting young people and helping them feel safe during this time, see the below website.
