Book Week
What a fantastic and exciting week we have had in Middle School, especially because it has been book week!
"On Tuesday 21st of August it was Book Week day. I came as the really hungry catterpiller. I was in group 8. The first activity I did was art and I really missed Ash. I made a treasure chest and a map. Then off to the science hub we went and made a lifecycle of a butterfly. After that I went to the prep room and made wands. Next with Mrs Meilak we mixed animals". Students had a great day dressing up as book characters, participating in the whole school parade, moving around classrooms and reading different books with different activities. Shout out to Ms Hubbard for organising an awesome book week.
Visitor Spike
"On Monday last week, I brought in Spike. Spike is my brother's pet bearded dragon. Some people wanted to pat him and some didn't. Because he is a cold blooded animal, he wasn't going to walk around, so I carried him around the class. I went around the circle for pats and one for holds. I said "if you want to hold him you have to have your jacket over you" so their clothes didn't catch on his claws. When people were holding him they took photos. Spike said 'bye' and then he left".

Boys & Girls Clubs
"
For the last 4 or 5 weeks boys and girls club have their own gender to themselves like 1 whole girl class and 1 whole boy class. Every Thursday after morning recces they go into different classes one class will go to middle miss Rennicks room and the other class will go into miss Betrands room. For the girls for this term they will be in Miss Rennicks room and term 4 they will be in Miss Betrands room. last week for the boys they were playing a game that middle b had not played before when my name was called for the platy award that I won the banking for the 23 of august now back to what I was saying it was a hula hoop game that when you are face to face you rock paper sciccers it when you win you keep going when you lose the other team try to win the game. The last two games Miss Blackburns class foundation came in and tried how to play. I think the foundation class were entertained that when they came in it was middle b vs middle a the first one went to win went to middle a they won again but in the last game middle b striked back and defeated middle a for the dub club."
