JUNIOR SCHOOL NEWS

Rebecca Durran

Year 8 Coordinator

A very busy end to term 3 in the Junior Sub School. We have a lot of programs to reward and keep students engaged in the school environment.

Lunchtime Basketball competitions between the students and against staff:

Many students were involved with facilitating the games, umpiring, supporting and playing. More lunchtime activities will be run throughout term 4. If you have some ideas about sports or activities that you would like to run or be involved with please see staff in the Junior Sub School Office.

GROWTH Program

Selected Year 7 students got a taste of the GROWTH program, where they were involved in a boxing and fitness session in the morning and had a representative from the Victoria police chat to the boys about engagement at school.

FERRI Program

Year 7 and 8 girls in the FERRI program went out rock climbing to challenge themselves and take on new heights. These girls developed their communication skills, problem solving ability and overcame some of their fears to participate in this session.

Rewards Excursion

Selected Year 7 and 8 students went out on a rewards excursion to Rollerway. This excursion was to recognise those students who have consistently performed well on their Term 3 progress reports.

College Values

We have had 116 students in Year 7 and 8 receive Positive Compass entries for their behaviour in class and representation of the College values. We encourage all students to continue to display our school values and be a positive member of the school community.

Enjoy the holidays, be safe and we will see you ready for busy Term 4.
