Library Corner

Welcome to the new school year! Our community of students have launched themselves on their continuing learner journey. In particular we welcome new students and their families. 

Activities in the Library are continuing with Book Club lunchtime meetings and class bookings. Several Year 7 students joined our first Book Club meeting on 5th February and we were lucky to have Ms Douglas spectate during Yard Duty in the Library. Members shared reviews of their holiday reading and borrowed titles from an assortment of new books. Recommended titles mentioned were - The St Clare’s series (Blyton/Cox) 4.5 stars, the Spellslinger series (de Castell) 5 stars, the Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children series (Riggs) 5 stars, Losing Brave (Madison) 4 stars and The Catalyst (3 stars) and The Reaction (5 stars) by Helena Coggan. New members are welcome.

Our Duke of Edinburgh Scheme volunteers have continued their service in the Library, commencing with Caitlin (10E) who assisted with shelving, circulation and newspaper processing.

Lunchtimes in the Library have continued to be busy with Uno the game of choice. We also encourage students to enjoy the relaxing Library spaces before and after school. Homework Help commences in Week Three - so please avail yourselves of the tutoring assistance offered on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Library Opening Hours:

Monday to Thursday 8:30am to 4:30pm

Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm

The library is open at Recess to Year 12 students and Library Monitors only

Lunchtime opening from 1:00pm onwards (Closed to general access during the fortnightly Book Club meetings)

Homework Help:

Tuesdays and Wednesdays after school, 3:15pm to 4:30pm
