Bienvenue to Our French Exchange From Notre Dame De Sio
On the evening of Friday 16 February we will welcome 15 students from the Lycee Notre Dame de Sion, our sister school in Marseille of 14 years, accompanied by their teachers Ms Fabienne Kesser and Ms Carmen Ferrigno. This will be the seventh time that the College has welcomed students from Notre Dame de Sion. Some of our Year 11 and Year 12 French students were fortunate enough to visit our sister school in Marseille in December 2017 and are looking forward to meeting their host sisters and brothers again.
During their two-week visit, the students will be staying with host families, allowing them to experience the life of an Australian teenager. The group will attend school on some days and otherwise visit our beautiful state. They will witness the natural beauty of both Rottnest Island and Whiteman Park; admire the treasures hidden in our State’s Art Gallery and explore our vibrant city. They will also learn about our history through a visit to Fremantle; and about our underwater world at AQWA.
Whilst at school they will participate in a number of lessons including Aboriginal Art, Woodwork, Australian History and AFL. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the teachers who have offered to donate their time to make the French Exchange 2018 an unforgettable experience for our guests.
Finally, we would also like to show our gratitude to our generous host families who make the French Exchange possible.
Thank you also to Mme Lucas who has devoted much time and effort to ensure the success of the Notre Dame de Sion Exchange.
Merci beaucoup.
