Easter Egg Raffle

The Easter Egg Raffle is a much loved event by the children at Galilee. It will be drawn on

Wednesday 28 March. Raffle tickets are to be returned by tomorrow and all donations for prizes

can be brought to the office by tomorrow (Friday 23 March). Donations such as chocolate eggs,

bunnies, Easter baskets gratefully received.

Open Day

The Galilee Open Day was a busy morning and a huge thank you to Biddy and her team at Bakers

Delight in South Melbourne for their generous donation of all the food for morning tea.

Term 1 and Beyond

What a great term it has been. The Events and Social Committee would like to thank everyone

for their support in the running and organising of events in Term 1. As always the aim for the

Events and Social Committee this term has been to involve as many families as possible in a

variety of ways. The Welcome Picnic was a great way to start the term especially welcoming our

new Prep families to school and then ending the term with a great night at the Middle Park Bowls

Club that was attended by many parents. It was great to see some of our new school families

come along for this parent evening and a great time was had by all!

Our next meeting will be on Tuesday 17 April at 7:30pm at the Montague Hotel. As always, all

parents are warmly welcomed.

Events for 2018 at Galilee:

See below a list of all the exciting events that are planned for the rest of 2018. Note that families

will be called upon by their year level reps to volunteer for one event per year level this year. We

look forward to having as many families get involved and help out!

Woolworths Donation

Thank you to Woolworths South Melbourne for donating Easter Eggs for our Easter Raffle. We are extremely grateful!

1000 Books Before School Challenge

Help your child develop a love of books and reading by participating in the statewide '1000 Books Before School' program. By sharing books and stories together you are giving your child a head start, by increasing their vocabulary and cognitive skills. Reading to your child regularly helps to develop their literacy skills and gets them school ready too!

Coles Sports 4 School Vouchers

We are still collecting the Coles Sports 4 School vouchers and will be accepting them into Term 2. Keep collecting the vouchers and bringing them to school so that we can purchase lots of equipment for the school.

Happy shopping!
