Out of School Hours Care

 

A letter of introduction from Gowrie NSW was emailed to Junior School families with information and enrolment forms for OSHC. Below is a small section of the information contained in the letter. Please refer to the Gowrie letter emailed on Aug 28 for the full details. There will be copies of the forms available from the Junoir School Office that children are able to collect to take home if need be.

School Shop opening hours for Term 4

 

As you would be aware, Noone Imagewear will be taking over the management of the School Uniform Shop from Term 4 and will be operating the following days and times: 

  • Monday 12 October from 8.15am - 3.45pm
  • Tuesday 13 October from 8.15am - 3.45pm (First day of Term 4)
  • Wednesday 14 October from 8.15am - 11.15am
  • Thursday 15 October from 8.15am - 3.45pm

Normal hours will recommence on Monday 19 October for the rest of Term 4:

  • Monday 8.15am - 1.15pm
  • Tuesday 8.15am - 3.45pm
  • Thursday 8.15am - 3.45pm

Duke of Edinburgh

 

The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award is a voluntary program offered at KWS. The Duke of Edinburgh is a non-competitive self-development international program available to all young people which encourages them to set and achieve goals at a level appropriate to their needs and aspirations.

 

In 2020, as a Wellbeing initiative the Year 9 cohort are encouraged to complete the “Bronze level” of the Award. KWS will pay the $150 registration fee for each Year 9 student as KWS acknowledges the benefits to the individual and community of undertaking the Award. In accepting this offer participants will need to complete their Bronze award in 2020. If you are currently in Years 8, 9, 10 and 11 and are thinking about completing the Bronze, Silver or Gold Award please come and see Mr Callaghan. “Duke drop in Fridays” are every Friday of the Term in Room 94 of the Anderson Centre at 100pm.

Summer Uniforms for Term 4 

 

All female students in Senior and Junior school are required to wear the current summer uniform for Term 4 2020 (starting 13 October) and Term 1 2021.

 

This includes:

  • Summer blouse
  • Summer tunic
  • White fold down socks
  • Straw hat
  • Criss cross tie (Year 11-12 only)
  • Summer A-line dress (Junior girls only).

All male uniforms to remain the same.
