Performing Arts,Mindfulness. Visual Arts, Japanese and Sport News

'Mindfulness at St Anthony’s is built into every day. It may take the form of mindful prayer, mindful meditation, mindful listening, mindful colouring, mindful movement or mindful brain breaks. Children learn to self regulate, to calm, to practise gratitude and to get ready to learn through mindful moments within their day. All learning spaces have mindful corners or mindful spaces for all to access when needed.'

Dear Students and Families,

What a term it has been, so much learning, creativity, so much mindfulness and then a wonderful end to the term with our Specialist Wellbeing Week activities, making sure we are keeping ourselves well in body, mind and spirit.

Then we had super engaging and fun activities for the end of term Specialist Fun day.

Looking forward to a creative and engaging term for next term, take care, stay safe and enjoy your well earned holidays everyone.

Visual Arts

Dear Students and Families,

Yesterday's Specialists' Fun Day was a wonderful experience for us all! Thank you so much for helping prepare the students and support them in this importantly creative aspect of the curriculum. As you can see, the result is very exciting to see, as our young creatives learn and experience a great diversity of thinking styles. These wonderful experiences help their thinking skills as well as build their self esteem and sense of identity.

Thank you so much, once again to work with us all in bringing the best possible experiences to our students.

Japanese

I have loved the enthusiasm and dedication the students at St. Anthony's have shown in their Japanese learning over term 3! Together, we have learned new words through quizzes, had a go at making Japanese sentences, looked at history, events and used lots of Japanese in our day-to-day lives.

ありがとう!  (Arigatou!)

Thank you to the students who have shown me their very best throughout the term, and to the parents who have supported them along the way. In week 9, we looked at the Japanese mindful practice of shinrin yoku, forest bathing. To finish off the term, students participated in a Japanese Variety Game Show. Please enjoy a very small peek into the fantastic work students have sent.

Have a safe and happy holiday, and I'll see you all next term.
