In praise of our Online Learners... 

St Anthony's encourages students to be curious, creative, and critical thinkers through a teaching approach that connects the values of Catholic faith to the thoughts, feelings and actions of our students.

In praise of Gabriel Francis in F-SC. He has shown an improvement in his reading by using different strategies to decode unfamiliar words. He is able to think of and use these strategies independently. Well done Gabriel!

In praise of Mana from 1/2GR.  Mana has consistently worked well at school - and now she is at home she has been enjoying her reading group, and always completes her writing and maths - drawing the most beautiful pictures to illustrate her writing.  It is so lovely to see her creativity shining through wherever she is. Well done Mana!

In praise of Natasha from 1/2GR - whether working from home or school, Natasha has worked hard on her reading and always shown up to her group.  Her oral language activities are always entertaining and she speaks very clearly, Her colour and creativity is all over her work and its lovely to see her spark! Well done Natasha!

In praise of Raymond in F-PR. He has been working hard on learning his letter sounds and sight words. I have loved meeting with him each week for our one on one sessions. His writing is improving every single week. Well done Raymond!

In praise of Hilary Pham in 1/2ME - Moved to remote online learning confidently and has been able to attend morning check in with her fellow classmates, she has submitted some of her work and attends any group sessions that are provided for her. Well done Hilary!

In praise of Justin Yann in 1/2ME - This week Justin has been a great presence in morning chat sessions, his intervention groups, attending assessments 1:1 online with me and has submitted most of his work too! Well done Justin!

In praise of Isabella Sayamongsa in 1/2ME - Isabella has continued to work well at home completing and sharing all learning tasks via Dojo portfolio. She attends all her reading sessions and organised assessments. Great effort this term. Well done Isabella!

In praise of Kyan in 5/6ST! Kyan completes all tasks on Google Classroom and is always polite and respectful. He enjoys having a chat and joke with his friends when we all get together on Zoom. Kyan completed a detailed biography about Dwayne Johnson on Google Slides and went to great detail to make his presentation colourful and striking. Well done Kyan!

In praise of Danyon in 5/6ST! This is the second time Danyon has received a certificate for being a Remote Online Learner of the Week! His enthusiasm for completing all work tasks and sometimes completing more than what he needs to do, has been very impressive. An example of Danyon’s excellent work was his biography of Walt Disney. He was meticulous in adding extra detail in his published biography. Well done Danyon! 

In praise of Ethan La in 3/4BA - for being proactive about his learning by regularly submitting his work, joining in with our Google Meets and asking questions when unsure of tasks. Well done Ethan!

In praise of Deacon Nguyen 3/4BA - for an excellent information report on the 'Great White Shark' as he provided interesting information in his own words and used illustrations and diagrams to maintain the readers' interest. He also showed great persistence when presenting his report to his class. Well done Deacon!

In praise of Moksh in 1/2AB because he is always working hard at home or at school.  Well done Moksh!

In praise of Ryan in 1/2AB because he has been sending lots of work to his portfolio and doing a fantastic job with reading with Mrs Harper. Well done Ryan!

In praise of Brett Lee Loong Shin in 5/6FI for showing persistence and rising to the challenge in maths tasks. Well done Brett!

Julie Chhieng for her ongoing  positive attitude to remote learning. Well done Julie!

In praise of Agna in 1/2KO! During remote learning Agna has shown a strong commitment to her learning, she is frequently attending classroom meets and works hard to complete her learning tasks. Well done Agna!

In praise of Natasha in 1/2KO! What an enthusiastic member of 1/2 KO, Natasha is often the first to any meeting and is there with a smile. During remote learning she has worked really hard. Well done Natasha!

In praise of Keyeron in 1/2KO! During this term Keyeron has shown great commitment to her learning. She is constantly attending class meets and comes with a positive attitude and a big smile. Keep up the great work! Well done Keyeron!

In praise of Niral Khakurel in 1/2KO. Niral has shown persistence and hard work during remote learning. Niral has been committed to attending his class meets and completes his work to a great standard. Niral should be really proud of his efforts and hard work. Well done Niral!

In praise of Ella in 5/6HA who has been challenging herself with her work and getting out of her comfort zone. Well done Ella!

In praise of Angelo 5/6HA who is attending more class meetings and is asking more questions whenever he is struggling. Well done Angelo!

In praise of Thomas Getley in 3/4CH and Bianca Scanlon in 3/4CH for enthusiasm towards completing tasks and for always showing positivity and an I can attitude.

In praise of Angela Phuong in 3/4LI. She has been consistently working hard throughout the term and did a fabulous job on her Information Report about starfish. Well done Angela!

In praise of Lucey Lam in 3/4NG - Students in level 3/4 learned how to write a formal letter. Lucey was able to write a formal letter in the correct structure where she included the 5 parts to writing a letter. She wrote a formal letter to Mrs Nguyen where she expressed her passion about the issue of  "The oil spills in the ocean". Well done Lucey!

In praise of Tamie Ngo in 3/4NG - Students in level 3/4 have been exploring fractions in their home this week. Tamie was able to describe and show different fractions in her home clearly. Well done Tamie!

In praise of Navneeth in 5/6DO for working really hard this week on his reading comprehension assessment. Navneeth has improved in his reading this term and it is great to see him using the learnt skills we have been working on to make meaning. It was great to be able to have a conversation with Navneeth and see that he really understood what he was reading! Well done Navneeth!

In praise of Tristan for putting together a really information procedural video on how to draw a pirate. In Tristan's video, he clearly articulated each step then completed the step himself, showing his viewers how it was done. It was clear that in Tristan's explanation he was using the language of procedures and making sure that each step was done in the correct sequence. Well done, Tristan! I can see you've worked really hard on this task!  

In praise of Ryan in 5/6 PO for his wonderful effort during all of Term 3 Remote and Online Learning. Ryan regularly uses feedback from his teacher to improve his work and to further develop his skills, knowledge and understanding. Ryan challenges himself with every task he completes and shows commitment to his learning by attending all class meetings and learning sessions. Ryan asks questions and participates in group and class discussions. Well done Ryan!

In praise of Nishali in 5/6 PO for her dedication to her learning all the way through Term 3 Remote and Online Learning. Nishali sets high expectations for herself and approaches each task positively as an opportunity to challenge herself and to demonstrate her commitment to her learning. Nishali consistently attends our class meetings as well as learning sessions each day. Well done Nishali!

In praise of Titiska in 5/6 PO for her wonderful work during Remote and Online Learning this Term. Titiska has shown wonderful effort and positivity in every task she completes. She has shown great determination and perseverance as she listens to and uses teacher feedback. Titiska regularly attends our class meetings and cheerfully participates in discussions. Well done Titiska!

In praise of Iona in 5/6 PO for her dedication to her learning throughout Term 3. Iona has worked hard in all subject areas, including her specialist classes. Iona challenges herself to put in her best work into every task she completes and enjoys sharing her learning with her teachers. She regularly attends class meetings and learning sessions, actively and confidently contributing to discussions. Well done Iona!
