Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program 2022 – The University of Melbourne

The Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholars Program is an academic enrichment program designed to support high achieving Victorian students in Year 11 and Year 12. You can apply for the KLD Young Scholars Program in Year 10.

To be eligible for this program students must be:

• in Year 10;
• enrolled at a high school in Victoria or border region (SA and NSW);
• endorsed by their school.

The selection panel will consider: 

• your academic performance;
• your leadership potential;
• your school's statement of endorsement.

If you are eligible, you will get a taste of university life, the chance to meet and connect with other students, the opportunity to develop your leadership and community involvement skills, access to the University of Melbourne resources, academics and events.

Application and selection dates

Monday 17th August, 2020 - Applications open for young scholars.

Friday 18th September, 2020 - Closing date for student applications.

Friday 9th October, 2020 - Endorsement deadline for schools.

Wednesday 11th November, 2020 - Notification to schools and students of the application outcomes.

Early December 2020 - Welcome event for new young scholars.
