Dear Families

Hoping you are staying well during this second lockdown and have adjusted to learning from home again. Thank you to those who have reached out to us- it really makes our day! It has been lovely to see so many families pass by and pop in to say hello, and share what is happening in their lives at the moment. We are intending to continue reaching out to all of you too.

We have introduced temperature checks upon entry to our service, which has been turned into a guessing game to keep us all smiling. We have also enjoyed learning about space and science this week as it is of high interest to our lovely group of essential children. They have utilised their hypothesising and researching skills throughout the week!

We wanted to share some inspirational pictures to brighten your day from this week at Oshclub. We made some artwork to send over to the Doutta Galla Aged Care, which featured lots of bright colours and lovely messages.

Thinking of you all,

Poppy  and Cassie

Emmanuel College News

This unusual year has had implications for so many students and their landmark years at school. For example, whether it is a Foundation or a Grade 6 student, their enjoyment of their landmark year at school has been very different. Some things haven’t been able to happen, but some other good things have appeared in their place. The same is happening at our school, some of the activities or events our Year 7 students we looking forward to haven’t been able to run in their traditional format, but, others have appeared in their place, it has been the same for the Year 12s in their very important final year. We have been amazed at our school at the way our students have adapted and been flexible and, most importantly, maintained an incredibly positive attitude towards school. The very hard work by students, their parents and the creative efforts by the teachers has been key in to this.

Sadly, though all of this we have been unable to run tours for families of our campuses. Instead, we have been sharing great insights into life at the College through our short videos each week. In place of our Open Day and Information Morning we are planning to conduct a Virtual Information Morning for both campuses on Saturday 12 September this year. The Notre Dame Campus event will start at 9 am and St Paul’s will commence at 10 am. Both sessions will run for an hour, during which you will hear from our College Principal, student leaders and parents. Then there will be a virtual tour and the opportunity to participate in a Q & A with student ambassadors and College leaders.

Simply click on the link to register and we will send you the Zoom link the day prior to the event.

Dear Families and Friends

I hope you are keeping safe, warm and well during what is a challenging time for us all.

In amongst all of this our school continues to work towards an exciting and sustainable future as a co-educational Catholic school in the tradition of Blessed Edmund Rice. We are very pleased to announce that we have secured the lease for the Presentation College Windsor (PCW) site for 2021 and beyond.  We will operate our reimagined school across two adjacent, historic sites with a bold master plan for major capital development in the future.

This campus compliments our Westbury St Campus which will be known as Edmund Rice Campus, after our founder, Blessed Edmund Rice. The PCW site will be named Presentation Campus, after Presentation Sisters and in recognition of Presentation College. This acquisition provides us with the opportunity to extend our subject offerings and be innovative in our use of the facilities and learning spaces to benefit students of all year levels.
