Home Learning in Year 5/6

Our Year 5/6 students have worked hard during Home Learning this term.  It has been great to see the creative ways our students have engaged in their learning while continuing to carry out their leadership roles remotely.

 

Our senior students have been learning about the Sacrament of Confirmation in Religion and this week focused on the Fruits and Gifts of the Holy Spirit.  In Literacy, students have written Information Reports about a planet of their choice and have written a review of a text as well as a video during Reading sessions. Mathematics lessons have focused on location, learning about grid references and directions as well as cartesian planes.  For Inquiry this week, our Year 5/6 students have designed and created their own space rovers to visit a planet or satellite.  They are currently working on their presentations for NASA!
