Indonesian
What an incredible sight it was to see all the merah dan putih across the school on Wednesday! The school was not just a sea of red and white this year, though - there were LOTS of students experimenting with wearing sarongs or batik this year! The students had an absolute blast playing Indonesian board games, creating kites and kuda lumping. Some of the favourite activities included tasting delicious pandan flavoured pancakes called dadar gulung and creating woven boxes called ketupat. A huge thank you to all the teachers who helped create such amazing activities - and to our lovely school community who found red and white clothes and dug through their scarf collection to dress up our students! Lastly, a special terima kasih goes to the Indonesian Captains for helping run activities with the 1/2 and Foundation classes.
Terima kasih,

Visual Arts
We have had a great start to Visual Arts this Semester with a focus on Art from different cultures fitting in perfectly with NAIDOC week and Indonesian Day. Throughout the Term students will also be looking at Art in picture books and literature to connect with Book Week coming up later in the term. The Art Department will continue to be involved with creating some of the props in preparation for Production. Please enjoy some photos of the colour and creations from our clever and creative students!

Our Senior school athletics is coming up this Wednesday and the weather is looking good! Students who are participating in the hurdles and/or 1500m events must be at the track by 8.30am. The whole event will begin at 9.30am. Thanks for all our wonderful parents who are volunteering their time to assist on the day. If you are still available to assist, please send me an email. Looking forward to a great day! A reminder also for students to wear their house coloured tshirt on the day.
