Waste Warriors News
Hello BBPS community,
The Waste Warriors have been busy working on their sustainability projects. This week we helped the Preps make vases out of recycled materials, and we have two important pieces of information for Wednesday next week.
Blue Day
We would like to inform you that next Wednesday, 30th November, will be BBPS’ first ever ‘Blue Day’. That means students are encouraged to wear a touch of blue as a reminder of the importance of clean oceans. We ask that participants bring a gold coin donation to support the Sandringham Foreshore Association, which helps to protect our local coastline. Give your donation to your teacher.
Nude Food Day
As well as ‘Blue Day’, we are also declaring next Wednesday a ‘Nude Food Day’. This means you don't bring plastic to school and only bring your food in reusable packaging. For example, you can put things in containers or lunch boxes. We know it seems hard, but if everyone does their bit we can make a big difference.
The reason we are doing this is because the Waste Warriors are trying our hardest to help the planet and we know this will help a lot, we hope for everyone to participate in it.
