Today is a great day to be you!
We've all survived the School Fair, so now it's time for another great event!
Our wonderful Fathering Project leaders are hosting a Rangeview Camp Out on Saturday December 3rd. Although this is being run by our Fathering Project group, it is an event that is open to all families - please feel welcome to come down and join in the fun!
The cost associated with the event will go towards equipment and supplies for the night, including games, snacks, dinner, movie, campfire items and then breakfast the following morning.
Please see attached flyer for further information and a QR code to register for the event. Registrations must close on the 29th for organisational purposes, so please make sure you are signed up before this date if you are keen to participate.
Note: This is a family event - children must be accompanied by their own parent/carer and not just dropped off for the afternoon or night. All children must have a responsible parent/carer with them at all times.
It's voting day this Saturday 26th November! If you are available to assist our Fathering Project group by cooking up some democracy snags, please visit this link - we are still looking for some willing volunteers! Thank you.

On Friday the 11th of November, Rangeview stopped for five minutes at 11:00am to pay our respects to the service men and women who have served our country over the years. Remembrance Day this year marked 104 years since the end of World War 1. Our student leaders shared a heartfelt announcement over the PA system, along with The Ode, The Last Post and a minute's silence. I was very pleased with teachers passing on feedback that their students all stopped and showed genuine respect during the announcements.
In the week preceding Remembrance Day, we also had a number of students across the school contribute to a large-scale community project. Mitcham Rotary Club worked with a number of local schools to create a memorial at Halliday Park. Twenty students from our school who have had a member of their family serve our country, paid their respects by writing the name of their family member on a cross - which were then placed along with over 100 other crosses and 70 large poppies. This display then formed a significant part of the Remembrance Day service held at Halliday Park to mark the occasion.
We are very proud of our involvement and partnerships with local community organisations, and it was great to see so many students eager to be involved.
Despite a long Term 4, it is really flying by quickly and we only have a few weeks left for the school year! Lots of work is going in behind the scenes to welcome our new 2023 Foundation students, and last Thursday night we held an Information Evening for parents.
It was extremely well attended and provided new parents with all the information they would need to start the school year in a really positive and successful way. The expo set up gave a real 'hands-on' feel and lots of takeaways for parents and carers to consider for next year.
Thank you to the staff and student leaders who attended on the night - these events are always a nice reminder of how our staff (and students) go above and beyond to represent the school.
