Principal's Report

It has been wonderful to have all our students and staff return onsite!

There have been some modifications to programs to accommodate the changes that we have experienced but as I’ve already acknowledged, our focus remains on finishing the year well. This is as much about returning to routine as it is about returning to school. This will be more challenging for some than others, so it is also a timely reminder that we all need to be compassionate with ourselves and each other as we resettle back in to school.

Last week we acknowledged 'All Saints Day' and 'All Souls Day'. Both these days are opportunities for us to stop and give thanks to the people we have loved and those who have helped shape our lives. The past few weeks have certainly reminded us of the importance of providing help and love in our community. Tomorrow also marks Remembrance Day where we will acknowledge the courage, service and sacrifice of those who have served their country and we also acknowledge the responsibility we all hold to strive for peace and harmony both at home and overseas.

Next week we will have the opportunity to celebrate with our Year 12 students as they return onsite at the end of their examinations to be farewelled by our student body; fitting given their experiences not just in the past few weeks but over the past few years with COVID interruptions to traditional learning. We will also celebrate more formally with their families at the Graduation Mass and Ceremony.

God Bless.
