Library News

As we approach the end of the year, staff are madly preparing texts for next year and we are well into the end-of-year tasks.

Reading room is coming to an end for the year and staff will be checking in the classroom boxes and writing overdue letters.  Could students please ensure they return their books to the library before the end of November.

If you were affected by the floods and library books were damaged, please don’t try to repair them, just return them to the library staff.

This week the library has created a display for Remembrance Day and there are a select number of fiction and nonfiction books on the issue for students to borrow.

We encourage you to consider one of the following books: 1916 / Alan Tucker; 1917 / Kelly Gardiner; 1918 / Libby Gleeson and in nonfiction you will find: We fought the good fight / Echuca Historical Society or one of the books off the spinner near the display.

Jokes of the Week

Why weren’t the Librarians surprised when they brought an Egyptian mummy into the Library?
It was bound to happen. (If you’re not sure what a bound book is, ask the friendly library staff!)

Why should you not read a book on penguins?
Because reading a book on paper is so much easier!
