VOCABULARY

Persuasive: Persuasive texts are factual text types that give a point of view. They are used to influence or persuade others.

High modality: Words that have a greater persuasive power when read.

Consider a topic that is debated in your household, or currently making news headlines. Ask your child/children to write a persuasive text using high modality words to argue their viewpoint.
