Hands on Learning

Terms 1 & 2 have been very productive in Hands on Learning.

Students have been busy creating and completing a clock made from old pallets.

Melton Council has been chosen to share 180,000 trees with six other council areas as part of Trees For A Cooler, Greener West program. We were lucky enough to be involved in planting trees at the Little Blind Creek Reserve in Kurunjang. Students & staff worked hard, planting, mulching and staking trees.

Our efforts didn't go unnoticed, we featured on the front page of our local Star Weekly newspaper.

Hands on Learning has finally made it back to the Melton Botanic Gardens. Students work with a group of volunteers know as The Friends Of The Botanic Gardens where they use their time to help maintain the gardens. Whether it is weeding, planting, or mulching the students put in a fantastic effort and knowing they have done something that benefits the community is a bonus.
