Greetings from 1W

In 1W, we have been reading a variety of Dr Seuss books, and examining rhyming. We made hats inspired by The Cat in the Hat and added rhyming words around them. 

In Numeracy, we have been exploring time. We made clocks together, and learnt to identify which ‘room’ the hour hand is currently in. 

We have finished our unit on Recycling, and have now started our exploration of comparing the past and present. We learned about how steam trains work and the differences between old and new trains. We also enjoyed a ride on Puffing Billy and explored the railway museum.
