National Simultaneous Storytime

Last week was National Simultaneous Storytime, and the story this year was Family Tree by Josh Pyke and Ronojoy Ghosh which we read in the library and then made some beautiful autumn leaves, taking inspiration from our trees outside the library. 

The Prep-2s coloured in a leaf and then drew a picture of their family on the back, and Year 3-6 collected some fallen leaves from outside to make leaf rubbings.  All their beautiful leaves are now up in the library on display, feel free to come and have a peek once the library is back up and running. 

Fire recovery

On that note, thank you for all the kind concern for the library and our books due to the fire at school on Tuesday. I’m very happy to say that all the books are safe (phew!) but the library will remain out of bounds for a little while as the air clears.
