UPCOMING LEARNING

During the next fortnight, students will be undertaking learning in following areas:

Reading	Summarising non-fiction texts and answering comprehension questions.
Writing	Researching and writing an Australian animal and endangered animal report.
Maths	Hands on experiences with place value, addition and subtraction.
Science	Chemical science experiments. What happens when oil is added to water?
Inquiry	To understand more about natural features of Australia, researching our neighboring states.
Social & emotional learning	Exploring the concepts of integrity, honesty and self regulation.

NEWS

Maths Workshop groups started this week. Every day until the end of the term students will be moving across different classroom with different teachers. For week 6 and 7 the focus concepts will be Place Value, Addition and Subtraction while week 8 and 9 will be Multiplication and Division.

CELEBRATION OF LEARNING

Thank you to all the families who spent time in classrooms for the Education Week Open Morning. The Year 3 teachers really appreciated your willingness to participate and communicate with the students. They loved having you in the classroom!
