Upcoming Learning

During the next fortnight, weeks 7 and 8, students will be undertaking learning in following areas:

Reading	-We are learning to question and infer texts
Writing	-Each week we start with Weekend writing -Letter writing -Designing a lolly house, labelling and sentence writing
Maths	-Learning to understand number- more, less and same -Learning to recognise 2D and 3D shapes
Science	-Continuing on with Three Little Pigs houses- modifying them -Testing materials in water
Inquiry	Change, through the lens of Fairytales -Little Red Riding Hood -Hansel and Gretel
Phonics/Spelling	-Looking at the letters Y and X. G and C soft sounds

News and Reminders

-Week 8- Public holiday 13th June.

-We will be asking for readers to come to school every day. Your child will bring home one book each night, and then 2 on Friday for the weekend. Teachers will check readers and words once a week, so please continue to practice these daily.

-Please continue to practise all oxford words.
