In Year 7 Science the students have been investigating classification by dissecting flowers to observe the reproductive structures in different species of flowers. The students have learned how to collect pollen with a fine paintbrush and then used microscopes to observe the pollen. Students have learned how to use a dichotomous key to identify unknown organisms. They have created their own keys to classify a variety of different objects.
