A Tribute to Bishop Patrick

This week we farewell Bishop Patrick O’Regan from the Sale Diocese as he embarks on a new chapter of his life as Archbishop of Adelaide. The Diocese of Sale has been privileged and blessed with the leadership that Bishop Patrick has bestowed upon us for the past five years. His pastoral commitment and various initiatives within the diocese have provided strength and empowerment to schools and their communities.

Bishop Patrick’s eagerness to involve students of our diocese in events such as the Pilgrimage Masses is sentiment to his authentic accessibility and willingness to meet with the people. He has been a pastoral leader whose service has been generously given. His ministry will be sorely missed but he will remain in our prayers.

As our Parish Bulletin includes, Bishop Patrick has released a ‘Thank you to the People of the Diocese of Sale’ Video Message which is available on the Diocesan YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC3L5M0mUA6KLif0K_qEBBKw and on the Diocesan website http://www.cdsale.org.au/

The Power of Prayer

Continuing on from last week’s theme about prayer, we encourage families to embrace the time with family during isolation and promote the experience of prayer during the students’ time working at home and for some, at school. Although our learning phase looks different, prayer time should remain one of the consistent things we engage in whether it be at home or at school.
