News from the Deputy Principal

Happy Mother's Day

We would like to wish all the mothers in our school community and beyond, a very happy Mother’s Day, especially during this time in isolation. Make sure you connect with your mums, wherever they may be and pray for them and for those who are no longer with us.

May God guide you and bestow great blessings upon you.

Deuteronomy 4:9: "Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them."

The staff at St Therese’s is working hard to deliver the Remote Learning Program to students whilst they are at home. Teachers are developing engaging and creative lessons to promote student learning and making the appropriate adjustments, ensuring all students access the curriculum.

The use of the Daily Attendance links and the Student Portals are vital daily platforms that all students are expected to access allowing teachers to monitor their engagement and progress.

If you or your children require any assistance with accessing the attendance document or Student Portal work, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher via email or phone and they will endeavour to respond to you in a timely manner.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind parents that whilst teachers are rostered to be onsite to supervise those students at school, that they may be unable to respond to your calls or emails immediately. Nevertheless, they will endeavour to contact you as soon as practicable.

Congratulations to all those students who are attending to their work and submitting well researched tasks and of course insightful images and videos. Congratulations also goes to the families supporting the students, as this has been a different and challenging time that has produced the best in all of us.

We look forward to continue to work with you in partnership.
