Healthcare Advancement Conference 2018 (HAC2018)
The HAC2018 is a biennial conference co-organized by ISQua and the Florida International University Board of Trustees, on behalf of the Robert Stempe College of Public Health and Social Work at Florida International University (FIU-SCPH) that will discuss the new challenges in healthcare quality and risk management in Latin America.
The Scientific Committee includes ISQua Experts, Dr. Ezequiel Garcia, Teresa Tono and Maria Carolina de Toledo Sivieri Moreno.
The HAC2018 will be hosted in Cali, Colombia from 1st to 2nd November 2018, will convene more than 20 international experts in Colombia to discuss the new challenges in healthcare quality and risk management in Latin America.
This conference is composed of a general conference and four workshops. The audience for the general conference is limited to 1,000 participants and includes healthcare managers, physicians and other healthcare professionals and students.
The audience for the workshops are limited to 120 participants and includes healthcare administrators from private and public hospitals.
Papers are now being accepted under the below five topics:
1) Accreditation in healthcare facilities.
2) Risk management and patient safety.
3) Quality improvement in chronic illness care.
4) Emergency preparedness in healthcare organizations.
5) Controlling antimicrobial resistance in healthcare facilities.

International Conference of Bo’ao Asian Forum & QCC Competition
25th to 28th April 2018 Venue: International Conference of Bo’ao Asian Forum, Hainan
The International Conference of Bo’ao Asian Forum is sponsored by ISQua, the China Federation for Hospital Quality Management (CHFQM), Institute for Hospital Management of Tsinghua University, CN-HEALTHCARE and Health and Family Planning Commission of Hainan Province. Guidance for the forum is provided by the Medical Affairs Authority of National Health and Family Planning Commission & Tsinghua University.
The expert speakers include Prof. Tingfang Liu and Prof. Rocco Perla. Prof. Liu is one of 100 ISQua’s global library of 100 experts. Besides of that, there are many other VIPs from China, including Prof. Wannian Liang ( Full-time deputy director of the State Council medical reform leading group office, Director of National Health and Family Planning Commission Secretary), Prof. Feiyu Kang (Representative of Tsinghua University, Founder of Institute for Hospital Management of Tsinghua University), Prof. Zongjiu Zhang (Director of Medical Affairs Authority of National Health and Family Planning Commission), Qian Liu (President of China Hospital Association, former Deputy Director of the State Health Planning Commission), Prof. Jiefu Huang ( Dean of Institute for Hospital Management of Tsinghua University, former Deputy Minister of Health Commission), Prof. Xuecheng Gao (Deputy Director of National Health Planning Commission Medical Management Service Center (presiding) and officers from the government of Hainan Province, China.
The Quality Control Circle (QCC) Competition (27th April) is open to hospital teams based outside of China. Registration starts from US$900 and includes 3 nights accommodation, food, as well as a round trip transfer from Haikou Meilan International Airport (Haikou, Hainan province, China) to the conference hotel in Bo’ao, Hainan province, China.
Teams who are interested in taking part in the QCC Competition should review the Problem solving type QCC standard and Project research type QCC standard.
