Foundation Unit

Once upon a time….. the JU1 and the JU2 classes went on a BIG adventure. In the beginning, the two classes walked to the Woodend Library. Some very lovely parents helped them find their way. When they arrived at the Library, a very entertaining lady by the name of Glenda (not the good witch!) read them fairy tales, sang songs and had them act out nursery rhymes. JU1 and JU2 enjoyed listening to the fairy tale of the Three Billy Goats Gruff. We particularly enjoyed making the “Trip Trap, Trip Trap” part of the story. The singing of the Little Tea Pot and Incy Wincy Spider was lots of fun for them to do. Then, JU1 and JU2 headed off to the next part of their adventure –  lunch at the Woodend Childrens’ Park. There, some mums joined them for lunch and some playground games. Climbing up the (fairy tale) tower, wizzing on the flying fox and spinning around on the spinning frames was the perfect end to a wonderful excursion. Finally, the Foundation classes headed back to school. Where they all lived…. happily ever after!

Maggie I liked the Five Sizzling Sausages song.

Connor I liked standing up on the flying fox and going “bump” on it!

JessicaI liked the Pussycat, Pussycat nursery rhyme where I got to be the purring cat!

SamI liked hearing about the Three Billy Goats Gruff because the oldest one pushed the troll over the bridge.

Taylor I liked the park because I went on the flying fox. Every time I go to the park I go on it because it is fun.

Lucinda I liked the park because I got to play on the flying fox and I played with Taylor.
