In English this term, we have been investigating the authors, Paul Jennings and Shaun Tan. We have enjoyed reading lots of their texts, such as Grandad’s Gifts and The Red Tree.
Some of the activities that we have been busy completing while reading their texts include, making predictions, summarising, visualising, making connections and comparing the authors to identify the similarities and differences between their writing styles.
We also had to decide which author we prefer and state the reasons why they were our favourite!
We are loving visiting the library each week to borrow as many books as we can by each of the authors.
