YEAR 7/8

Half way through the term and working hard! The 7/8 students are deep into their topics and have been completing lots of hands on activities! The students have been learning to draw Aboriginal symbols as well as learning about the First Fleet. The students have also been learning about counting using the new PBIS rewards system. Students have enjoyed the prizes they have gotten so far like the hot chocolates and free time with their friends. Congratulations to our students of the week for week 5: Ella Hamilton, Bella Ramsay, Jonah Stolzenberg, Michael Hassan and Riley Wilson!

YEAR 9/10

The Café is coming along well in helping to develop 9/10 students’ employability skills through giving them practical experience. Our current year 9 students have started to think about their own future jobs while our Year 10 students are revising and developing their own job ideas further.

Together our 9/10s students and staff worked and found the  name ‘Hungry Jackson’ and a suitable logo.

Each class has in rotation taken the roles of marketing, finance, production, and servicing.

Individually and collectively, they have started to plan their parts in the business.

The easing of the COVID 19 pandemic has made this welcome development possible.

It is hoped that the café will run from the second week of Term2.

Initially, only staff members will have the opportunity to order their lunch from the ‘Hungry Jackson’. We are hoping for a wonderful year of delights from our café.
