Eve is definitely one of the most energetic and driven students in our school. She demonstrates each of our school values in so many ways. Eve is persistent, passionate and sometimes a little tenacious and these qualities mean she can be trusted with a job or to get something done.

Eve is the current president of our Leos Club and she’s been a part of this group since she started at Healesville High School in 2018. Through this she demonstrates exceptional team work and she works with other students and staff to organise projects and campaigns. Over the last few years Eve and the Leos have fundraised for our school and they have contributed to the cost of the new shade sails in the central area.

Eve is a fantastic leader and she pushes other people to be their best. This includes staff and she often reminds her teachers of things they said they would do, in a polite way, of course! Eve holds us all to account and she shows a level of responsibility much greater than what we would usually expect from a Year 9 student.

As Miss Jackson commented, ‘Eve sees the best in people and she is a friend to everyone.’ She respects her peers, staff and especially the learning environment. She looks for ways to make this school a better place and she has the confidence to express her ideas and work to make them a reality.

Eve is such a persistent go-getter, although she doesn’t always get what she wants and can’t implement all of her ideas. This doesn’t stop her though and she shows resilience and she keeps working and remains determined to implement change. Eve doesn’t allow negativity or disappointment to distract her from her goals.

Despite her busy life at school, Eve always has time for fun along the way. On any given day you are likely to hear her laughing with her friends and enjoying herself. She doesn’t take herself too seriously and we love this!

Congratulations, Eve! Thank you for everything you do and for making Healesville High School a better place.

‘Eve is a very down to earth girl, with a fantastic personality and is always prepared to help anyone who needs it. She has a good work ethic, always prepared to learn and treats everyone with respect and kindness. Eve is an excellent role model at our school and shows all our school values. She is a valued member of our school community and always puts lots of hard work into her school work and the Leo club.’ Caitlyn Anderson Hunter

‘This ‘powerhouse’ is wise beyond her years and her leadership skills leave most in her shadow. Eve has a wonderful balance of kindness and drive which we regularly have the pleasure of seeing at school. She is fun, she enjoys a laugh, she’s has a dash of sass, she’s better at spelling than I am and she cares about those around her. Eve keeps herself, her peers and the staff organised and accountable and can be credited as being one of the most influential young people at HHS, for all the right reasons. Eve, you’re fabulous, and your future looks very bright! #eveforprimeminister’ Lisa Mathieson
