Middle Years

"You have to apply yourself each day to becoming a little better. By applying yourself to the task of becoming a little better each and every day over a period of time, you will become a lot better." John Wooden
As the Christmas season approaches and 2018 ends, I would like to extend my congratulations to our myPEC students on their achievements. I would like to thanks parents for your support and guidance that you have provided for your children. At the end of the academic year it is timely to reflect on the numerous accomplishments; academic, sporting, creative arts and to the wonderful camps programme. I have seen a tremendous amount of learning and personal growth, some tangible and some invisible. I often say to students that learning requires hard work and effort, and there are no shortcuts. I have seen friendships forged and strengthened, and friendships that have naturally changed.
I ask our students these questions, in every endeavour,
Do you aspire to do your very best?
Are you able to learn and work independently, yet enjoy the opportunity for interdependent and collaborative work?
Are you taking responsibility for your learning?
Do you reflect on your own behaviour?
As a communicator, are you poised and confident?
Are you largely self-directed but will ask for help if needed?
Do you have a positive vision for the future?
Are you kind to others?
Do you think before you speak?
Are you optimistic?
I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and safe summer holiday, may it be filled with laughter and good memories. We are looking forward to welcoming you and new students to College at the start of Term 1.
