Year 6 Camp

This week, our Year 6 students have been enjoying a week away at Camp Coolamatong. Staff at the popular school camp venue have shared with us that our students are among the most engaged, inclusive, polite and appreciative students that they've ever had stay at the camp. This feedback has been shared with our students who have showed incredible resilience, confidence and compassion throughout their week away. The week-long focus on leadership through service to others has also helped students tune into the type of school leader that they aspire to be.

Sadly, with new time-in-lieu entitlements for staff, a number of Victorian schools are scaling back their camping programs (including my own children's school!). With the assistance of some wonderful parent volunteers, ASPS is committed to continuing to provide our students with this wonderful experience which provides life-long memories.

Special thanks to our dedicated staff, who along with our 2 parent volunteers, helped our students have the most amazing week away.

2022 Year Book Update

Despite a couple of hold-ups, the 2022 Year Book has arrived and will be sent home in the coming days.

School Picnic - this month!

2023 Parent Payments: Ready for Payment via XUNO

Sincere thanks to families who supported the school with the 2022 Parent Payments Program. This financial support is critical in terms of the school achieving it's academic and wellbeing aims. Via the voluntary donations, the school has also been able to significantly improve school facilities and play areas (i.e. COLA and basketball/netball court redevelopment).

Please note that the 2023 Parent Payments can now be made via XUNO or via the hardcopy that went home earlier this week.

Security Update

Recently, we will changed the codes to both the Burgess Street & Cottage gates.

We are encouraging all visitors, both parents and others, to enter the school via the main gate in Tooronga Road and to come into the school through the Main Office. All visitors during the day must sign in to notify us that they are onsite.

The security of the side gates is paramount to our Child Safety processes and for Emergency Management purposes, is important that the school has oversight of visitors that are onsite at any one time. For these reasons, the code will not be shared with the wider community.

Please be reassured that the gates will continue to be opened at 8:45am each morning and at 3:15pm each afternoon for drop off and pick up.
