Week 4 Update

It has been a wonderful start to the year and as usual, the term is moving very quickly. Our students and teachers are heavily engaged in high-quality teaching and learning that is challenging our students to support their growth both socially and academically.

It was great to see so many families at our Building Connections event in week 3. The opportunity to connect with families, share learning and discuss your child's learning is a great way to begin to forge a strong relationship between teachers and families. Please see further in the newsletter for an overview of the event.

Learning Conferences

We are looking forward to our next Building Connections event - Learning Conferences.

Learning  Conferences will be occurring with families and students during Weeks 6 and 7 (Monday 6th March to Friday 17th March) of this term.

With our shift to focus on Learner Qualities and based on feedback from students, families and teachers there will be a slight shift to the approach this year.

Students, family members and teachers:

  • Reflect upon and discuss Learner Quality reflection/analysis
  • Identify Learner Quality goals and collaboratively develop evidence to demonstrate success
  • Discuss English and Maths goals, sharing strategies to support this learning at home and at school
  • Discuss strategies to ensure goals are met

As per usual, if families have queries regarding their child’s learning at any stage of the year, they are invited to make contact with staff.

Bookings for the meetings are available via the Sentral Parent Portal. Families will be emailed later today with the details. If you are having any issues, please contact Vanessa in the office.

The portal for bookings will be open for bookings in from 9am Monday 27th February until 5pm Friday 3rd March.
