Prep

Prep students are gaining valuable skills in both digital and physical realms with their recent technology lessons. In Minecraft, they are learning to navigate the virtual world and move their characters through different terrains and obstacles. This not only helps them develop spatial awareness and problem-solving skills, but it also promotes creativity as they imagine and explore their own Minecraft creations. At the same time, in their Lego building lessons, the students are honing their fine motor skills and improving their ability to follow instructions while also unleashing their imaginations to design and build their own unique creations. Both of these lessons are laying the foundation for a lifelong love of learning and innovation in the fields of technology and engineering.

1/2

Our Grade 1/2 students are putting their woodworking skills to the test with the help of our Nibblers. The students are learning how to use these electric wood cutters safely and effectively to design and create small wooden items called "Pocket Surprises". With each Pocket Surprise, the students are gaining confidence in their woodworking abilities and developing an appreciation for the value of hands-on learning.

3/4

Our Grade 3/4 students are diving into the exciting world of technology with their latest lessons, which focus on designing buildings and structures in Minecraft and experiencing virtual reality with a game called Kartoffl. In Minecraft, the students are using their creativity and problem-solving skills to design and build their own virtual structures, ranging from towering skyscrapers to intricate underground tunnels.

Meanwhile, in Kartoffl, the students are immersing themselves in a virtual world where they must guide a group of lemmings through various obstacles and challenges. This experience not only offers an exciting opportunity to explore virtual reality technology but also enhances their problem-solving and decision-making skills.

5/6

Our Grade 5/6 students are currently in the design and planning phase, the students are using their creativity and imagination to come up with fun and engaging concepts for their videos.

Once the planning is complete, the students will then use stop motion and our green-screen, along with other effects, to bring their ideas to life.

By creating videos that are tailored specifically to the needs and interests of our Prep students, the Grade 5/6 students are also learning how to connect with and engage their audience.

I can't wait to see the final products of this exciting project!
