Parent Infomation Sessions and Parent Teacher interviews

With the school year starting, we understand the importance of providing opportunities for you to meet with your child's teacher to share information and understand what 2023 will look like for them.

On Wednesday 15th February, all year levels will run Parent Information evenings.

The purpose of the sessions is to provide information about the learning that will be taking place in the classrooms this year and to explain routines around home learning, level-specific activities and events and other key information.

This will also be a chance to ask any questions you may have about life at SKiPPS .The session will be held in the your child's classrooms and we hope that you can make it.

For our Foundation - Year 2 classes, these sessions will run straight after school from 3:45 - 4:30pm. We will provide supervision for children to read and draw quietly whilst the sessions are taking place and will provide a link (via Compass) to broadcast these events live on Webex for any parents who might struggle to attend due to work commitments.

Our Year 3-6 teachers will run sessions from 5:00 - 5:45pm. We will provide a link (via Compass) to broadcast these events on live Webex for any parents who might struggle to attend due to work commitments.

The following week, (week commencing 20th February), we will run Parent Teacher Interviews for students in Years 1-6.

These interviews are an important chance to meet with your child’s 2023 classroom teacher to pass on any important information, discuss their start to the school year and their current learning goals.

We are asking that all families of students from years 1-6 schedule an interview time. Bookings can be made via the Compass app or web browser.

Details on how to make a booking can be found at https://www.compass.education/guide#section-09

Online bookings will close at 9pm on Sunday 19th February. Please book your interview time by this point.

We ask that you try your best to attend these sessions to help us build a strong partnership between school and home - something that is essential for children to achieve their best.

A reminder that our teachers are always available for short chats at the start and end of the school day and are contactable via email.
