Jazz in the Park
Every year at the beginning of Term 1 we have our first social event known as 'Jazz in the Park'. This is a lovely night to meet other families, get to know each other and listen to some great music. The kids love the evening too. Our Parents' Association provide food and drink for sale on the night with a BBQ, Sushi Stall, Cake Stall and Bar. This year the event will be taking place on Tuesday 28th February from 5:00pm - 8:30pm
We are putting the finishing touches to plans for the night and will then be seeking parents and carers to support by signing up as volunteers to help on the food stalls and with set-up and packing away on the evening. An online roster will be shared next week.

SKIPPS Orchestra is back and ready to make some music together in 2023

Can’t play an instrument? We’ll find one for you. Can play an instrument? Bring it along and we’ll find a part for you. Playing in an orchestra involves learning about music notation, understanding rhythm and performing as a team - a great opportunity!
Come along for a try-out: no appointment required! Just turn up.
Voluntary donations for the orchestra help cover the costs of our excellent conductor

2023 Midsumma Pride March
On Sunday 5th February, our school once again took part in the annual Midsumma Pride March down Fitzroy Street, starting from the oval right next to the school. We had perfect weather for the day and it was wonderful to see close to 100 SKiPPS students, parents, staff members, and friends taking part and showing our commitment to equality, acceptance, and kindness.
We are especially thankful to Mathew Bowden, one of our fantastic parents, for coordinating our registration again.
