Parents: Start a dialogue about what happened to Humpty Dumpty.

What happened first, then second?

Why did he fall?

What should Humpty have done in order not to fall?

What happened to Humpty Dumpty?

Parents: Discuss the colours and shapes in the illustration.  Make sure to discuss that Humpty is an Oval shape!

Task 3: Learn the song and add your own actions into the song ready to perform to your audience at home.

This term we will be carrying on with the Bollywood Dance to try and get a little further through the moves. 

Task 2: Have a go at creating your own 1 minute dance warm up.  You must make sure you stretch all parts of your body properly.

Grade 2

Welcome back to Term 2 Grade 2.  We hope you had a good break.

This term we will starting a new unit on story-building and characters, using fairy tales. You'll need paper or a notebook and pencil to write down your answers. 

 

Task 1: Watch the 'Welcome Back' video from the Specialist teachers

Task 2:Watch the first clip of ‘The Three Little Pigs’

Task 3: Answer these questions about the clip you just watched:

  • Who were the main characters in this story?
  • Who was the villain (the ‘baddie)?

Task 4:Now watch the second clip of ‘The Three Little Pigs’

Task 5:Answer the following questions for each clip you just watched:

  • Who were the main characters in this story?
  • Who was the villain (the ‘baddie)?

Task 6: Now compare your answers. What things were the same in both clips? What things were different? How has your opinion of the wolf and the pigs changed now (or has it stayed the same)? Who do you think is telling the true version of the story?

Task 7:  Make a list of other Fairy Tales that you can think of, and who are the villains in them.

Grade 3

Welcome back to Term 2  Grade 3, hope you all had a great break!

This term were going to be working on 'Monologues'... a speech given by one person.

Task 2:  Watch the 3 clips below. These clips show the idea of inanimate objects coming to life to be characters.

Task 3: Write down your initial (first) thoughts or observations about each of the characters; anything that you notice, or something that stood out while you were watching the clips.

Task 4: Choose an inanimate object (something that is not alive) from your room to use as inspiration for a character. It cannot be your phone, computer or TV. This will be your inspiration for your next lesson!

Grade 4

This Term although we are all working alone at home, we are going to be looking at Filming Techniques and Cinematography.  

Task: To make a short video diary about your Easter Break.  Despite being stuck inside at home, you might have taken some photos of your time at home, might want to talk to the camera about what you have been doing or send a message to a friend via video Blog.

It doesn't need to be more than 1 minute long,  but have a go at playing around with settings, different ways of presenting your information and different types of shots you might want to use.

If you are happy to share your finished article upload it to Google Classroom by Friday 17th April.

Grade 5
