Learning for LOTE Italian will be timetabled every Wednesday for 25 minutes across Preps to Grade 4.

Parent tips: Today we are going to be practising our greetings and sing our Buongiorno song from last term and learning numbers 1-5. To start practising follow me on the video attached and then there is a work sheet you can complete. We will also take a look at a story based around a tradition in Italy.

Facts : All Easter eggs in Italy have a surprise inside (una sorpresa) just like the big Kinder Surprise you would see in the supermarkets.

Lets listen to a story  'La Colomba' . 

Parent tip:  La Colomba is an Italian Easter story based around the tradition of the Dove Cake  symbolising  peace. Many super markets and

Italian grocery stores would have been selling these over the past 2 weeks.

Buongiorno(Good day) , Ciao(Hi/Bye),   Sono qui (I'm here), Eccomi (Here I am),  Presente  (Present): Have a go at these.   Can you remember what to say   if someone is away ???   

Parent tips: This week we are going to practise our introductions and greetings. We we also be learning numbers 1-50 in Italian. If you have an IPad handy get them on the ABC Learn Italian App to practise 10s to 50  10 dieci,  20 venti,  30trenta, 40 quaranta, 50 cinquanta.

Lets sing the Ciao Amico  song  together. Remember learning a language is using it and recycling it everyday.
