Principal's Report

by David Lord

Literacy week

Last week we enjoyed many activities during literacy week. Our themed weeks have become a particularly positive feature of school life over the last few years. Highlights have included the Staff vs Student debate, the Spelling Bee, student leaders producing book talkers to help student select a Just Right Text and the Haiku Hunt. I would like to particularly celebrate Kellie Boorman and the Literacy Team for their hard work in overseeing this successful week.

NAPLAN

This week year 7 and 9 students will be taking the NAPLAN tests. It is a useful measure of individual student improvement and of whole school improvement and areas for growth. High effort in the tests is really important so that we get an accurate picture of what our students can do.
