DIOCESAN CROSS COUNTRY

Please remember if you need netball visors, they are in the front office and come in two sizes - child and adult. Child - $8 and adult - $9. You cannot order via Qkr, as the netball club runs separate to the school accounts.

DIOCESAN RUGBY UNION TRIALS
The Diocesan Rugby Trials will be held in Tamworth on Monday 24th May 2021. Mrs Tyrrell has handed out notes to those who were interested. The school is able to enter a full team for these trials. Mr Unwin will be supervising the team on the day.
DIOCESAN CRICKET TRIALS
The Diocesan Cricket trials will be held in Tamworth on Friday 4th June, 2021. Congratulations to Sam Thompson, Angus Spry, Harrison Hickey, Mitch Taggart, Parker O'Neile and Darcy Williams who have gained the limited places for these trials.
DIOCESAN GALA DAY
St Nicholas School will be entering teams in the Diocesan Gala Day in Inverell on Friday 11th June. Notes will be handed out next week and need to be returned by Friday 7th May so that teams can be entered and buses can be booked. The sports available are Rugby League, Netball and Soccer. This will be open to children from Year 3-6 as there is a Junior competition (Years 3/4) and an Opens competition (Years 5/6). An expression of interest letter is coming home today. Please complete and return to Mrs Tyrrell. Costings and times will be given out in another note later on in the term.
NATIONAL PRIMARY GAMES
This year the National Primary Games will be held in Tamworth on the 10th and 11th July 2021 (The last weekend of the holidays). This event will be hosted by NIAS and supported by the Australian Olympic Committee. The aim of the National Primary Games is to bring young players across all different sports together in the spirit of sportsmanship and enthusiasm. This is for children aged 8 - 14. St Nicholas may enter a team in Netball, Rugby League, Rugby Union and Soccer. Notes for this were handed out to children in Years 2 - 6 this week.
TOUCH FOOTBALL
Touch football is due to finish just before the long weekend.
