Principal's News

Dear Families,

"In Unity Strength" is the message which greets us each day in our playground and I believe has summed up the term so so far. We have all come together after what was a very difficult year and we have had a wonderful term working together as one. Thank you all for welcoming me into the Trinity Family this term and for giving me such a wonderful place to work. It is hard to believe that we have already completed a full term and so much has been achieved by our children with their teachers.  I know our students have loved to be back onsite after last years difficulties, however, I am sure they are now looking forward to a break and the relaxation of school holidays. There have been many highlights of the term for our children and often these may just be very simple things but of great importance. Yesterday a Year 5 child visited my office to share an excellent piece of writing he had completed. I could tell buy his face and his enthusiasm to share his work, just how proud he was of this achievement.

These small but important moments I believe, are what can  give our children the encouragement to continue to strive in their learning.

We look forward to an exciting Term 2 and the great learning we will do together.

Happy Easter

I wish all our families a happy and holy Easter and we pray together for the safety and wellbeing of our entire community.

Staff Conference

Next Term in Week 3, Thursday 6th and Friday 7th May our staff will be attending a two day conference which means there will be no school for children on those days.  On Day 1 all staff will participate in an exploration of Faith and Spirituality for Catholic Teachers led by Fr Richard Leonard SJ, a Jesuit Priest from the Jesuit College of Spirituality.

School promotion & Marketing

We are currently looking at possibilities to renew our school logo and have commissioned a graphic designer to explore some possibilities. Of course it is impossible to choose one that is everyone's favourite and so we would like to get opinions from our families. If you would like to share your opinion you can complete the Logo Survey HERE and show your preferences by numbering 1(most Favourite) to 4 (Least Favourite). These are preliminary ideas and of course once we have chosen some modifications may be made.

Parent Helpers Information Session

A big thank you to Ms Marinelli who organized the recent classroom parent helper session on Monday. We had a number of very enthusiastic parents attend and we greatly appreciate their support, as we know how important the partnership between parents and teachers can be. Ms Marinelli will be running a further session for any parents who were unable to attend our first session and this will be on Monday 26th April from 9:00am after drop off. This session will run for approximately one hour.

Student Voice & Leadership

Our Whole School Assemblies and Monday Morning Gatherings have really been a highlight of the many leadership opportunities we are able to provide for our children. Most often our teachers are able to take a step back and leave the hard work to their students. Even our Prep and Year Ones showed, at last week's assembly, just how capable they are of speaking confidently and clearly to an audience while their teacher was able to watch from the side lines. Our Trinity Clubs are also a wonderful avenue to enable and promote student voice and leadership as they develop ideas, work collaboratively and explore learning outside the classroom in activities of their choice. Thanks must go to all the staff members who happily supervise and give their time to enable these clubs to function.

Kind Regards

Mr Nigel Rodrigues
