Our Year 10 students are organising their work Experience placement for the last week of this term June 21 - 25, several students managed to organise a placement over the holidays as encouraged, congratulation to those students’ others are making a great effort. I will be working with Year 10 to support them to prepare in their Wednesday period 5 class, preparing resume’s, cover letters to send to prospective employers and completing their Safe at work General Module and the modules relevant to their workplace, Parents and Carers, again please encourage your student to talk to family, friends etc. about what they do and If there are any potential opportunities. 

Work Experience placement within our Community is very valuable to our students, we welcome any question you may have about providing a potential opportunity or any connections we can follow up.

Careers Expo is able to go ahead face to face this weekend, great opportunity if students can go along. Many  exhibitors from all over Australia will be in attendance providing – 

• Information and resources for the VCE
• Information about tertiary study, university, TAFE and training courses
• Career advice
• Study advice
• Employment advice and opportunities
• Apprenticeship and traineeship advice
• International exchange and gap year programs

It is a great opportunity for students and parents to talk to directly to tertiary providers if you can attend.
