Student Reports in Compass

This year our reports will be accessible through Compass which has meant a review and change to our reporting. Reports can be found through your child’s profile under the report heading.

An example of our interim reports is below:

We have placed a focus on connecting the school’s values of Pride, Respect and Responsibility to the work habits we expect our students to develop and display throughout their learning journey at Ballarat High School.

One of our school priorities is to develop happy, active and healthy students. To support this the school is focusing on building student understanding of kindness and courtesy, as research shows that developing student social-emotional learning leads to improved wellbeing and academic outcomes. By reporting on these qualities, we are actively encouraging students to demonstrate these traits.

The report also includes a component about academic progress that is a judgement on your child’s progress level and is accessed against the Victorian curriculum standards and for VCE the level refers to the students’ progress towards the VCAA outcomes.
