On the day of camp, I was feeling extremely excited but at the same time I was really scared, my stomach was churning. The bus trip felt long but it was only an hour and a half.

When we got off the bus at the Great Southwest Walk, I was really excited to do the walk but after a while I got tired and wanted to get to camp. When we arrived, we were told that it was an 8.6-kilometre walk. That night everyone was tired, and we all slept well.

The next day we were up at 7.00! There were lots of activities planned for that day. We had the seal trip first, I was terrified to go on the boat, but I still did it.

Our next activity was surfing, it was hard at first, but when I first stood up, I got used to it and rode a wave back to shore, and then I fell off. Caving was next, when I saw how small the entry was, I was terrified! But I was so proud of myself when I did all the openings and completed the whole cave.

The last activity was raft building, but there weren’t enough supplies, so we got a free swim. It was exhilarating to jump into the waves and dive over them. We even got a night swim!

We woke up the next morning and we realised that it was our last day! Although it was hard to get out of bed, everyone was pumped for the day ahead. After we had breakfast and packed everything, we boarded the bus and headed off to sandboarding. It was about half an hour to get to the sand dunes. When we arrived at the sand dunes, all it took me to be terrified was one look. They were so steep and high. After the treacherous 10-minute climb to the top of the sand dune, we got to slide down on sand boards. Although it was hard to walk up the steep sand dune, it was worth it.

When we finished lunch, it was time to head back to school. I was dreading leaving as it was such an amazing camp, but at the same time I was really looking forward to seeing my family again.

Overall, I really enjoyed our camp and can’t wait to go to Bridgewater with my family.

I was nervous to go to camp but as soon as I got onto the minibus with my friends, I forgot about that.

First, we went on a long, tiring walk that took hours! When we finally got to camp everyone was excited to see who was in what cabin. We got settled into our cabins and I was in a room with Mackenzie, Scarlett, Izzy, Marie, Mia and Lara. After being in our rooms for a while we went down to the beach and had free time there. I went swimming for a while but then I got turned into a mermaid on the beach.

After dinner we went for a night walk on the beach and climbed on rocks and stuff.

The next day we got up, had breakfast and got ready for our first activity. My group started with raft building which was pretty fun. Our raft broke as soon as we put it in the water.

Then we just had a free swim while we waited for morning tea.

Our second activity was the boat ride! There were so many seals, and it was cool being so close to them.

After lunch we did surfing which was heaps of fun! I didn’t think I would stand up on the board, but I did. It was amazing!

Our last activity was caving which was really hard. The cave I went in had a bit where you had to roll for ages and there was also a bit where you had to choose which hole to go through. One was bigger and the other one was smaller which was called the legend hole.

On the last day of camp, we did sandboarding. I did it three times and it was great. Then we got back on the bus and came home.

I got to school and went to sit with Dylan and Sam as we waited for Ben to get here.  Later on Ben arrived, so we all talked until the bus arrived then everyone put their stuff on the bus then we got on. I sat with Ben on the bus, and we talked. The bus ride to Cape Bridgewater was boring although Ben and I played a round of Uno.

Later that morning we arrived at the walk, and we put our sunscreen on and then started walking. At the start we walked in a massive group but then everyone stretched out into groups. Mr Churchill and a bunch of kids were heaps ahead of everyone else and finished a long time before us. When Ben, Colin and I finally finished we were so happy.

When we got to the camp, we saw our cabin groups my group had Me, Sam, Dylan, Ben, Max, Ryan, Tom, Logan and Shaun. We went to our cabins to get set up and get our swimmers for the beach. later when everyone was back we walked down to the beach for the first time. We then went to the water to swim. Sam, Dylan and I went out to the water and swam. We then played soccer and later on played cricket with Isaac, Dash, Ryan, Ben, Dylan and Mr Churchill. Later we headed back up to camp and showered.

Later, we had dinner, we had barbeque and I had a burger, piece of bread and potato. Dinner was good overall. After dinner we just chilled and then went to bed later on.

In the morning we got up and had brekkie I had rice bubbles and they were very good we then got prepared for our group activities I was in a group with Dylan and Dash. First up we had raft building we attempted to build our raft but then gave up and went to swim.

Next up we had the boat ride with Mr Zhang we first off all walked there which took a little bit then we went rock pooling, Tasha found a dead gummy shark and then we saw a few Port Jacksons. We then went on the boat and saw lots of seals. The boat driver then drove back and did some donuts.

Then we ate chicken burgers for lunch which were yum and then went to get our wet suits on for surfing. When we were out in the water, I got hit on the head by a flying board twice. Later I finally rode a wave and after that one I did a bunch more. We then had to get changed really quick for caving because we and a small amount of time to get there and finish.

We got to the caving on the minibus and caving was overall really easy and I got out of the cave not very dirty at all.

We then waited for tea. Tea was lasagne and it was really good after tea we went back to the beach, and it was cool. We then went back and Mrs Adams said was happening the next day.

The next day we went to Swan Lake for sandboarding. The sand dunes were massive and fun to go down. Later on we went back to eat lunch and get back on the bus later we finally arrived at Baimbridge and that was the end of camp.

Overall I thought it was fun and I had a great time.
