WELCOME
Meet our new staff
We have a number of new staff in the school and existing staff in new roles. It is with great pleasure that we welcome:
Ms Jessica Wright - Ms Wright is teaching VCE Chemistry, Year 8 Maths, STEAM and Science and 9/10 Environmental Science. Ms Wright is 8A's Community Teacher as well as their Maths, STEAM and Science teacher so she will develop a pastoral relationship with them throughout the year. Ms Wright brings a passionate Science perspective to Baimbridge.
Mr John Foley - Mr Foley is teaching VCE Methods, Further Maths and Physics along with 9/10 Business Management and Year 11 Work Related Skills. Mr Foley is the 11B Community Teacher and brings a breadth of experience to Baimbridge.
Mr Damian McCarthy - Mr McCarthy was with us at the end of 2021 and is here whilst Mr Ellis is on leave. Mr McCarthy is teaching 9/10 Maths, 9/10 On the Move, 9/10 Getting the message across and Year 8 Steam. Being the Community teacher for 10A keeps him connected to many of the students he sees in his classes on a daily basis.
Ms Tina Gartlan - Ms Gartlan is busy settling in to the Product Design Tech area taking over from Mr Doherty, she has a solid background in this area and paired with a creative eye, we are excited to see what she helps the students achieve here. She is also assisting the Maths team in the Middle Years Literacy Numeracy Support (MYLNS) program.
The ladies of wellbeing are going to formally introduce themselves in their respective roles next issue. In the mean time they wanted to assure you that they are here to deliver preventative programs, assist in finding help for our students with real time issues and support our community.
They also asked that if your child requires medication (this includes panadol etc) at school, a medication form needs to be supplied and all medication needs to be in its original box please.
Please check your Medical Plans too - if they need to be updated (Asthma / Anaphylaxis etc) that some clinics will have a Practice Nurse complete the plans in consultation with the GP.
We warmly welcome Mr Dhanuka Pieris and Ian Cook to our IT crew, we have been so impressed with their productivity, proactivity and willingness to assist.
Our Learning Support crew has been strengthened with the addition of Miss Eliza Schultz who spend her time between the Year 7 Hub and PE, along with Ms Mallory Stanley and Ms Louise Iven who are in our classrooms supporting teaching staff every period of the day.
