Year 2/3 

This week we have been learning how to use speech and the associated punctuation. 

Here are a few examples:

I am at the park called Candy park and my friend is at the Candy park too. My favourite part of the park is the candy cave swing.

 "Wah!"  "What?" I said. "Oh no," Chuckles said. "I hope Chuckles friend is ok!" I said. "Oh no!" me and Chuckles said. "Are you ok Chilly?" Chuckles said. "I don't know what to do, what is that ......." said Chilly. I said, "Super Chuckles!!"  "Yes it is," replied Super Chuckles. 

"I just fell off  Gummy Mountain." said Chilly. "Here you go, here is a bandaid." said Super Chuckles.  

"Thank you!" said Chilly. "Chilly, did you eat the cupcakes?" said Chilly's mum. "Oh no, she found out." said Chilly.

Trouble in the Park!

One day I went to the park and I saw my friend Gail crying. I asked, “What happened to you?” Gail answered, “I fell off my bike!” “Ok” I said. 

“Ok, do you want to go to my house and then I can help you?” I said. “Ok, I will come.” she said. Then I took her to my house.

When we arrived, I helped her with her scratched legs and we played together in my room.

One day, Chloe went to the park and saw her friend Ivy crying.Chloe went to talk to her and Chloe said, “Why are you crying?” Ivy replied, “Those kids won’t let me play on the playground.” Chloe was angry at the kids but then said, “Do you want to go to the swimming pool?” Ivy replied, “Sure!” And they were both happy.

On a sunny day I saw my friend Yianna at the park crying. I walked up to her and said, “What’s wrong?” She replied, “I fell off my roller skates.” I said, “Now, now, cheer up. What about we get some lunch together?” After lunch we went to the movies and we watch Jungle Cruise.

Today we went to the park. I was riding my bike when I heard a cry. Then I saw my friend Bramp crying. 

I ran up to him and asked him, “Are you okay? Why are you crying?”  “B b because I tripped on the path.” he replied. His parents were nearby and they helped my friend. 

Then we all went to a cafe, to have a milkshake.

I was at the park and suddenly, I heard someone crying, "Waa, Waa." It was Miles, my neighbour.  I went up to him and said, "What's wrong?" He replied, "I didn't get to go to the toyshop." Then I said, "Why?" looking confused. "Hm, hmm ....." he replied, "because daddy didn't let me." Then I said, "How about I take you." He said, "Yippee, thank you Katelin." 

So we walked to the toyshop together.

Year 3/4      SPECIAL!

I am very lucky to have so many special people in my life but the one person I want to tell you about is my  nonno Steve. He passed away in 2019 and I miss him very much.

I always used to  play chess with him and I always beat him. My nonno would always get mad and I would laugh at him because he always accused me of cheating. He would hit the table and walk away and I would sit and laugh. 

One time when I went to the hospital to visit my nonno (because he was very sick at the time), I decided to bring my iPad so that we could play chess and have a laugh.

Whenever he went outside to the garage (his second home) I would follow him and we used to talk. Sometimes he gave me lollies and salted nuts  when I was a kid  and invited Peter over and talked. Sometimes I even got lemonade that I was not allowed to drink but my nonno gave it to me anyway . The biggest part in the story is that I miss him very much.

On Chinese New Year, I woke up at 5am and went out and got some water. When I got back to bed I couldn't sleep so I started the morning. I brushed my teeth and cooked myself some breakfast. I went down stairs with my breakfast. I started eating when I heard a noise (Pffffffffff) went the noise. I went I checked the bedroom….DAD IS GONE! So the noise must be him, so I went to the bathroom and he wasn't there. Then I found a gift on the sofa and it was covered with a gold plastic wrapper. I opened it and then there was plain paper. Then I looked around and saw it was DAD. He gave me the keyboard I wanted and I thanked him and that was when I got the best gift.     By Chen

Oscar is a 2 year old Groodle who lives with my dad. Bella is a 1 year old Maltese x Pomeranian who lives with me, Liam and my mum. 

Oscar used to be a very small and fluffy dog.  When he turned one he started growing a lot and very fast.  Oscar is way bigger than Bella.  Bella only weighs 5 kilos and Oscar weighs 27 kilos.

These two dogs are very different.  Oscar is walking around like a crazy dog and Bella is running crazy, napping, chewing feet, barking at the tv.  She is also crazy, but she’s cute!

Oscar and Bella are only 1 year apart.  Bella was born in August 2020, Oscar was born August 2019.  

I love these two dogs and they are very important to me because they are so adorable.

I have a pet guinea pig named Fluffy. We gave him the name Fluffy because he’s so fluffy. He likes his favorite toy to play with a blue plastic castle. He goes in it like all the time but I don't know why. Sometimes he goes to a different cage that is a bit bigger than his regular cage.

When we put Fluffy in the living room he goes under a white chair. Sometimes when we are loud or quiet, he goes under the coach and when he goes under the coach it’s hard to catch him. When we carry him for too long he bites our shirt and sometimes it hurts. Sometimes Fluffy squeaks softly and sometimes he squeaks very loud it’s so loud. 

Fluffy makes me happy and I like playing with him.     By Ishe

My parents surprised me with my best gift ever on my 10th birthday. It was a Gaming setup. This is my best ever gift because I really wanted it on my birthday. In this Gaming setup, it includes Gaming keyboard, a Mouse, Gaming speakers and a Gaming keyboard mat and Gaming headphones. I liked this gift because I really wanted it on my birthday. It really made me happy a lot and the most exciting part of my Gaming setup is all the LED lights.     By Yash

It was christmas and we woke up and my mum went down the back to see the presents. Then Oscar and I went down the back and in the present was a ps4 and Oscar and I shared it. He would have 1 hour and I would have 1 hour. Now we have another ps4 so he plays on the new one and I play on the Christmas ps4.     By Zane

Peter Pan is coming soon!

The Grade 5/6s have been working away rehearsing for our much anticipated school production of Peter Pan. The backstage crew have equally been as busy, creating promotional material to be displayed around the school.
