Sacrament of First Communion has been postponed due to the current Covid Lockdown. A new date to be advised.

Time is going by so fast and it has been a whirlwind as we get used to the normal routines of 5 days of school onsite! It is timely to remind families about some things that may have become a bit lost in the lockdown life of PJs and comfy waistbands....or is that just my family?

From Monday it is expected that students will be wearing the regular school uniform. Finding or replacing hats and jumpers that may have been lost. Tying hair back. All of these things are important ways of reminding students that we really are back and the routines and expectations are important boundaries to re establish.

The uniform shop will be back open on Monday so any lost hats can be replaced then. We are heading into a key time of year for nits, who do not respect social distancing, so hair needs to be tied back neatly. As a parent of 2 girls with long curly hair, trust me, you do not want to go there if you can help it! It is part of the uniform policy that hair will be tied back neatly at school regardless of gender and we thank those parents who have already been ensuring their child has hair tied back.

A big thank you to all those parents who have been sending their children to school with masks. It is an expectation that those children from Year 3- 6 wear their masks in class. We have also had a large number of our younger students wearing masks each day. So a big thank you to everyone who is working hard to keep all of us safe and OPEN!

While we are happy to support the odd forgetful moment, we are having a number of children who are coming to the office every day for a mask. Please make sure your child has a mask each morning. Maybe when they pack their lunch box they also pop in their mask. Linking the mask to lunchbox can help with the organisational skills and remembering! Another tip is if they have a cloth mask can you make sure it is named so if it gets lost outside we know who to return it to.

Have a lovely week.
