Quantum Victoria in Charles Latrobe College

The year 10 engineering class visited Quantum Victoria in Charles Latrobe College on 18 October. Students were engaged in hands-on STEM education to develop 21st Century skills. They exercised problem-solving skills whilst programming and working with electronic circuits to solve problems related to real-world applications.

A visual programming language; Snap4Arduino was used throughout the day. The students learnt to program an Arduino circuit by following the instructions and completing challenges set by the Quantum teachers. The last task they had to complete was recreating the game "BOP IT," by coding the Arduinos to respond to a switch, light dependent resistor (LDR) and a potentiometer. The experience was educational and gave us a solid base for any programming we might want to do in the future.
